COMPANY PROFILEVale Industries Inc. was founded in August 1974 by Ray Valente when he purchased Pontiac Machine and re-named it Vale Industries, in Pontiac, Illinois. Valente converted the company from a job shop machine shop specializing in agricultural pulleys to an organization selling proprietary products to the steel mills. Vale was purchased by Chuck Dunham in June 1984. The company remained in Pontiac until June 1988, when it was relocated to a modern manufacturing facility in DeKalb, Illinois, about 60 miles west of Chicago. (Yes, it is the same DeKalb as the corn seed producer.) Sales have expanded to the entire world with Vale equipment operating throughout Asia, China, Russia and Africa. Our products service Bar and Strip, Ferrous and Non-Ferrous mills; Bar and Strip processors; Fastener, Cold Heading and Roll Forming Manufacturers and Metallurgical/QC Labs. We produce rugged, durable, specialized machinery and tools for the Primary and Secondary metals industries.
